The mission of the Port Authority of Marín and Pontevedra Estuary is to manage, administer, and operate the Port and oversee port services, leading the port community in the constant pursuit of operational excellence and contributing to the development of its area of ​​influence, all while maintaining a balance with the environment.

The Port of Marín is located in the Pontevedra Estuary, an environmentally and socially sensitive area. The port embraces its role as a driving force for the local economy and job creation, as well as its status as a public company serving the general interest of its users, businesses, and the local residents with whom it operates.

The Port Authority is collaborating with the GALP (Local Action Group for Fisheries) in organizing an information session for port companies on grants for projects that contribute to sustainable development
The GALP Ría de Pontevedra is organizing an information session next Friday, March 7, at the Port Operations building in the port of Marín to present the new 2025 grant program. This program aims to promote initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of the estuary in the municipalities within its area of influence (Bueu, Marín, Pontevedra, Poio, Sanxenxo, and Meaño), especially those related to the maritime and fishing sector. This session is being organized in collaboration with the Port Authority of Marín and Ría de Pontevedra and is aimed at the port community in general. Its ultimate goal is to explain the terms of the grant program (Order of February 12, 2025) and provide guidance on project submission options. The event will take place in the Auditorium of the Port Operations Building on March 7th at 11:00 AM and is open to all interested parties. The Pontevedra Estuary Local Action Group (GALP) is managing over €1.5 million in grants for the 2025 call for proposals, within the framework of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFF) 2021-2027 and under the auspices of the Participatory Local Development Strategies (EDLP). The deadline for submitting applications is March 21st.
