Transport and Logistics Students from CES Aloya Visit the Port
A group of first- and second-year students from the Higher Level Vocational Training Cycle in Transport and Logistics at the Aloya Higher Education Center in Vigo spent the morning at the Port of Marín to learn firsthand about the operation of its terminals and companies. To begin their visit, they were welcomed at the Port Authority auditorium, where they received a presentation on the different services and activities carried out at the port. Afterward, they traveled to the Nogar Group's Covered Terminal to learn firsthand about the operation of this unique infrastructure, the only one of its kind in Spain. The students also visited the Termarin container terminal, owned by Pérez Torres Marítima, to learn about the operations carried out with containerized cargo, as well as the work protocols at the Border Inspection Post. The Transport and Logistics students were also interested in the railway terminal since Marín, with 7,000 meters of internal tracks, is the first port in the entire state port system in terms of percentage use of railway with respect to its total traffic, also being a leader in Galicia in intermodality and combined ship-rail transport.
