Reboredo Docks Host Dual Operations for Wind Turbine Components and Containers
The Adolfo Reboredo docks, located in the port's expansion area, hosted a dual operation today: loading and unloading containers on one hand, and wind turbine components on the other. The port's container cranes were used for this purpose, in addition to the two mobile cranes available at the harbor. The vessel Visitor, consigned by Pérez Torres Marítima, handled 10,000 tons of containerized cargo, while the merchant ship Singelgracht, whose consignee is the Nogar Group, loaded 29 sections of wind turbine components onto its deck, destined for a project in Houston. The Port of Marín serves as a departure point for the export of wind turbine components for projects worldwide. The daily activity was completed with the departure of a train set carrying grain to the poultry farms of Taboadela and the preparation for the afternoon departure of another train set, this time with coils of steel sheet.
