Betazul S.A. Awarded Contract for Improvement Works at the Fish Market
Betazul S.A. has been awarded the contract for the "Renovation and Improvement of the Fish Market's Interior Facilities: Renewal of the Articulated Bases of the Pillars," after being selected by the contracting committee in a bidding process that received four offers.
The project will be carried out with a budget of €830,000 (VAT included) and a completion timeframe of 8.5 months. The Port Authority has secured European co-financing for the project through the EMFF (European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund).
The Marín fish market has been in operation since 1976, and its proximity to the salt flats necessitates the timely renewal of the articulated bases of its pillars. The work involves the assembly of an auxiliary metal structure for the inspection, structural renewal, and installation of new joints on the pillars. For the Port Authority, maintaining the facilities and services provided to the fishing sector is a priority, and this is reflected in its Investment Plan.
