The Port of Marín Welcomes Engineering Students from the University of Santiago de Compostela
A group of Civil Engineering students from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) arrived from Lugo this morning to visit the Port of Marín. T
he day began in the Port Authority auditorium, where the students attended a presentation about the Port and its main terminals and services. They also learned about significant projects such as the construction of the Picamillo beacon tower and the reinforcement of the Ons Island dock, as well as future projects like the expansion of the New Commercial Dock.
Next, the students went to the Covered Terminal (AWT), where staff from the Nogar S.A. Group explained its operation. They also visited the agri-food bulk terminal. After the grain warehouses, they went to the container terminal, Termarín, where the Pérez Torres Marítima Group explained the operations of a container ship.
Finally, they boarded a catamaran to cross the estuary and see the construction of the Combarro marina.
