The Port Authority will implement the new DUEPort single window system.
La migración a este nuevo sistema, desarrollado y gestionado por Puertos del Estado, forma parte de la estrategia de digitalización del Puerto de Marín
The migration to this new system, developed and managed by State Ports, is part of the Port of Marín's digitalization strategy.
The Port Authority of Marín and Pontevedra Estuary announced to the port community the migration of services from the Local Single Window (VUL) to the new DUEPort online platform, a Spanish Maritime Port Single Window system, developed and managed by State Ports. This system allows the various stakeholders and authorities within the port community to interact electronically and submit, only once, the information required for a vessel's call at a Spanish port, streamlining the process.
In this way, the Port Authority is anticipating the provisions of European Regulation 2019/1239/EU, which aims to harmonize the procedures of the European Union Customs Code with the creation of a Maritime-Port Single Window (EMSWe) environment and which will be mandatory in the summer of 2025. DUEPort is the central point for communicating the information to be declared when a vessel calls at a Spanish port, and the harmonization of port call information will entail a modification of the procedures established to date, both for requesting and managing port calls and for submitting cargo manifests and summary declarations for temporary storage.
In order to adapt to these regulatory changes and continue with its digitalization strategy, the Port Authority of Marín and Pontevedra Estuary will modify its systems in early 2024 to integrate with the DuePort system.
To this end, it has held an initial day of dissemination of the changes that the new system will entail, with the participation of representatives of the shipping agents of the Port of Marín.
