The Port Authority will continuously monitor air quality
As part of its commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, the Port Authority of Marín has acquired a new air quality monitoring system for the continuous measurement of potential atmospheric pollutants in the port area.
The acquisition and installation of this measuring equipment provides a comprehensive solution that encompasses the measurement of various environmental and meteorological variables, as well as ambient noise, through the use of a variety of state-of-the-art sensors.
Specifically, the following parameters will be continuously measured using the Bettair sensor: PM1, PM2.5, PM10, Nitrogen Monoxide (NO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO₂), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Sulfur Dioxide (SO₂), Ozone (O₃), and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). In addition, temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, and noise will also be measured.
Meanwhile, the monitoring sensor works continuously to assess air quality. The Port Authority's objective is to focus on environmental prevention to detect any anomalies that may occur and take the appropriate corrective measures.
