THE PORT
The Port of Marin is living an exciting period of its history as it undertakes the expansion and improvement of its installations, the consolidation of its most strategic traffic lines and a search for new markets. But at the same time we find ourselves in a port environment that in economic terms faces harsher and harsher competition. For this reason, we need to be ready to face new challenges if we are to continue to create employment and wealth for our local community. This is a key moment to lay the foundations of the economic future of this Port and its surroundings.

This Port Authority works day-by-day to bring together and blend all the agents involved in improving the quality of our services. The Port of Marin boasts modern infrastructures – one of which is the first of its kind in Spain – and more importantly, highly skilled and committed workers who continuously strive to improve operational performance.

Our mission is to lead the way towards development in this Port’s area of influence without losing sight of the fact that we are situated in an area of such environmental significance as the Ria of Pontevedra. As President of this Port Authority, I pledge myself to working steadfastly to ensure that the Port of Marin becomes a reference point in terms of the quality of its services and continues to act as the driving force behind the local economy, while also working with the respect and sensitivity that the environment deserves.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD, Juan Carlos Suris Regueiro
Port Authority of Marín y Ría de Pontevedra
