Road improvements and surfacing.
Work is currently being carried out to repair damage to the inner port roads, by cutting out the existing surface and replacing with concrete and non-skid, hot-laid asphalt.
Eastern Dock in Expansion Area.
The new dock will have 120 metres of effective berthing space and 9 metres’ draught. This is a new infrastructure that is designed to respond to the significant growth in frozen fish traffic that the Port has been subjected to in recent years. It shall mainly be devoted to berthing the largest fish reefers operating in Marin that have an overall length of 130 metres.
This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).
Improvements to the expansion area esplanade.
This involves improving the bearing capacity of the esplanade in the expansion area by replacing the landfill with selected soils and the laying of slag to enable different types of goods to be stored on the reconditioned surface.
This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).
Installations for recreational vessels in Marin.
New mooring posts for speedboats and recreational vessels along the Marin promenade to afford mooring services for 126 boats. The Project consists of installing three jetties with floating fingers and mooring posts.
To protect these new jetties from rough seas, a 100-metre stone and rockfill jetty is being built. This jetty will be finished off with an illuminated path, ornaments and benches and various angling stations. The floating jetties will be fitted with automatic access control gates for authorised clients.
This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).
Number 2 Repair Jetty
To respond to the demand from the Marin fishing fleet for more berthing spaces. It will be built in the area formerly housing the floating jetties for anglers.
- Total length: 301,22 m
- Draugth: 3,5 m. to 6 m.
- Total surface: 11.300 square meters
