This project covers the paving of the expansion area with provisional surfacing in the dock operations area, top surfacing in the dock access roads and esplanade, installation of water and sewerage pipes as well as the laying of lighting, electricity and communications lines.

Crane foundations in expansion area.
Building of foundations for container lifts on the expansion area dock. First the micropiles that will transmit the load on the cranes to the bedrock are drilled, followed by the building of the beams and rails that will allow the cranes to operate safely.

Expansion of the water network (2nd phase).
This project covers the expansion of the water supply net between the Leiros wharf and the southern commercial dock, the road to the south and east of the Rosa de los Vientos coldstore and the road running between the open net store and the shipowners’ office building. Fire hydrants are to be fitted along these lines to ensure greater safety in Port installations. Furthermore, the sewers and drains from the Port Exporters’ office building are to be connected to the main sewer from Marin to be channelled to the town waterworks in Placeres.
